In 2014 I was part of a team of Sculptors awarded a grant through the Vermont Arts Council to provide Art in State Buildings. The Barre granite sculptures are placed at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital in Berlin, VT. Our team was chosen by a 13 member committee ranging from the State Curator to the RNs that provide care. Our designs focused on the idea of animals as sources of comfort and companionship. My contributions to this project were a life size kitten on a bench and a life size beaver working on its lodge. The kitten bench is in the interior recreation yard. The beaver lodge, also serving as a bench, is located in the center courtyard of the hospital.
